INFORMATION
- MAHIM is a residential development project located at central Mumbai, Mahim India.
- The proposed residential building is located in Mumbai. There are 3 towers (Height = 136.5m) with 3 Basements + 1 Amenity + 38 typical Floors (including part refuges) + 1 Terrace, Excluding (1 LMR Floors + 1 LMR Roof)
- The floor plate system is principally an in-situ RC Flat slab with combination of down stand beams. Cantilever slabs provided outside the beams to cover rest of the floor plate area. The location and sizes of shear walls are proposed so as to satisfy both architectural and structural requirements.
- In order to make the system economical and reasonable, different vertical zones of shear walls are introduced Based on their sizes and grade reduction. One main core is located at the center of each tower and two small lift cores at the end of the wings. The Shear Walls are to resist both Lateral loads (Wind and Earthquake) and Gravity loads
- LLRS SYSTEM: Shear Walls placed around building such as elevators and stair cores can be considered as a spatial system capable of transmitting lateral loads in both directions. The advantage is that being spatial structures, they are able to resist shear forces and bending moments in two directions and also torsion particularly so when link beams are provided between the openings.
